Built in 1804, The Green River Plantation is a magnificent 42 room mansion. It is open for weddings, tours, events, and Bed & Breakfast. All engagements are by reservation only. The home rests on 366 acres of land that reflect all of the gentility and refinement of the old pre Civil War South. Groups: Chose from the Tea Room, The Gatehouse, or have a meeting on the front lawn. Under construction is a pavillion for more meeting ambiance. All it takes is a little imagination to make any meeting a great success at Green River! Tea Room in the plantation home seats 50. Gatehouse is a flexible facility which accommodates up to 150 guests for sit- down meals & 175 guests for hors d'oeuvres. Ideal for meetings in a variety of configurations. Weddings: The plantation weddings are held on the front lawn of the stately mansion. Weddings are priced according to the number of guests that are attending. These wedding fees include all white folding chairs needed and an arrangement of white greek columns on the front lawn. We also use accent pieces of ferns, ivy, and other live greenery. Recorded music and a director are also included in the pricing. Changing areas are also supplied. Other accessories for your ceremony include a unity candle holder, easel for portraits, and two register stands for indoor and outdoor use.
